MRPL sponsored New Block of Government Lady Goshen Hospital

The inaugural ceremony of the ONGC-MRPL Anniversary Wing of Government Lady Goschen Hospital was held on 2nd March 2019.

Government Lady Goshen Hospital, Mangalore has a 162-year-old history. This Hospital for Women was established in 1849 located at the heart of Mangalore City, probably the first dedicated maternity hospital in the country. This 260-bed Hospital mainly caters to the health care needs of patients from weaker sections of our society.

Lady Goschen 6000 to 7000 delivery cases in a calendar year are being attended. Nearly 75000 patients are admitted as in-patients for treatment, and almost 1.5 lakh patients are treated as outpatients in a year. The patients come from different parts of Karnataka and bordering regions of Kerala.

MRPL and ONGC together contributed Rs. 28.9 crore for the construction of the new wing of this Hospital.
